TO THE READERS
The offered index in «Biobibliography of scientists
of Kazakhstan» series is dedicated to the great scientist-
biotechnologist, well-known science organizer, academician of
the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
doctor of biological sciences, Professor Rakhimbayev Izbassar.
The authors of the biographical essay intended to throw
light upon academician I. Rakhimbayev’s contribution to the
development of plant biotechnology, biochemistry and physiology,
his role in modernization of methodological foundations of
scientific research and teaching new directions of plant biology in
higher educational institutions, and creation of scientific school
of Kazakhstan biotechnologists.
In this biobibliography there are used the archive materials
of the Institute of Botany, the Main Botanical Garden, al-Farabi
Kazakh National University, National Academy of Sciences.
The biobibliography includes materials that characterize
the main stages of life and scientific activity of the scientist, his
publications and scientific works, a list of co-authors, as well as
a list of doctors and candidates of sciences who defended theses
under his scientific supervision.
The materials of the index are placed in chronological order,
within the limits of each year – alphabetically: at the beginning
there are the works published in Russian, then in English.
In the index of works and the nominal index of co-authors the
references are given to ordinal numbers of the works placed in the
chronological index.
